In 2014 the Royal Netherlands Air Force Airshow was organized from 20 – 21 June at Gilze Rijen Air Base, in the southern part of the Netherlands.
During the two Royal Netherlands Air Force Open Days, 245.000 visitors were encouraged to see, feel and experience the world of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Friday’s theme was “Working for the Royal Netherlands Air Force”, while Saturday’s theme was “The Deployment of Air Power”.
Highlights are Patrulla Aspa a Spanish Demonstration team with five EC120 helicopters, the Red Arrows and the flyby’s of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner of Arke. The visit of a MD-11 passenger aircraft of the KLM. Rare combination of Apache and F-16 of the Netherlands Air Force.
