Dutch Orion's Farewell.

In July 2003 the Dutch government decided
to sell her Lockheed P-3C's Orion's and close the airbase MVK Valkenburg as
soon as possible. The P-3C Orion's are sold to Germany (8) and Portugal (5).
From the year 2010, up to 10,000 houses will be built in this area.
Just before the Royal Netherlands Naval Air Station Valkenburg is closed in
2006, there was a last Open Day at June 4th, 2005.
These 'Marine Luchtvaart Dienst' (Royal
Netherlands Navy) P-3C Orion's are sold to Germany and Portugal.
Orion 300 is going to Portugal and the
Orion's 301, 302, 305 and 312 are sold to Germany.

6603 Lockheed P-3N Orion of the Royal Norwegian Air Force of 333 skv from

Montijo is the home-base of this Lockheed P-3P Orion, the 14804 of Esquadron
601 and will be replaced by the Dutch Orion's.
The Aéronavale (French Navy) squadron 23 F at Lorient
- Lann Bihoué is equipped with this Brequét Atlantique II NG serial
number 24.
The Marine Flieger (German Navy) squadron MFG3 Brequét Br.1150 Atlantic
61+03 will be replaced by former Dutch P-3C Orion's.
