During the ILA Berlin 2012 we had the opportunity to visit the new airport Berlin Brandenburg / Willy Brandt.
This new airport was not operational at the time and already long overdue.. at the time I write this article it is still not in use yet..
Problems with fire safety prevented the builders to finish the airport even it’s very near finished as the small photo report reveals. This year we will be visiting the ILA Berlin 2016, four years later, and it still won’t be in service. A dent in German ‘Gründlichkeit’ or is it? To me it shows that the Germans only want to open this airport when it is perfect and save for the users.
